Sorry, you're not 'Dave' 😅 re: Launching a job hunting abroad course on Skillshare

Hi! So I just mistakenly sent you the below email saying 'Hi Dave'. I write to a hypothetical human to make it more personal.

Obviously, your name is not Dave. Sorry about that! ✌️

Hi Dave,

Chiara here from Gen Propel, the job hunting abroad course. It’s been a while, so I wanted to update you on what Jezze and I have been up to.

In May, we completed our pilot cohort-based course on landing interviews. We did it with an intimate group of 5 students.

Ana, one of our students and a lawyer from Brazil who moved to Germany, successfully landed a job. Here’s an interview we did with her on her job hunting experience.

As a next step, we’re launching our course on Skillshare. The goal is to condense 12 hours of content into a 1-hour course, broken down into 2-5min videos, and make it more digestible.

I’m very excited to make the course more accessible and affordable. Compared to having to charge $500 for a group class with us, people will be able to take the self-paced course on Skillshare, well within the free 7-day trial.

We expect to complete the Skillshare course within the next month or two. In the meantime, you can learn more about our process by reading the Project 100 origin story or watch me practicing part of the intro 😅

Thanks for reading! I’d love to hear from you — where are you in your job hunting abroad journey? Reply and I’ll try to help!

Chiara

Hi!! I’m so excited for the AMA tomorrow. I just finished my bare bones slides. But what I’m really excited about is to learn more about you and answer your questions on job hunting. Here are some questions people have already sent. We’ll answer them during the AMA. How do I get noticed by recruiters? How do I get an interview? I tried reaching out to companies directly (HR/Managers via LinkedIn or email). No luck so far. How could I improve my approach? Remote jobs — How to see if it’s a...
